The world of Aaliyah is a unique blend of traditional desi art and culture with cyberpunk and fantasy elements. I enjoyed exploring what this blend could look like visually in the environments and costuming.

MARJAAN AND THE SCALLYWAGS

The story of Marjaan is about a Muslim mermaid that joins a crew of pirates. It was a fun challenge to visualize a hijabi mermaid both in the water and as a wheelchair user on land. I also explored the relationships between the crew.
