Inaya is my first short documentary about a young woman building a community for Muslim artists like herself. Inaya's story is told through a mixture of live action and animation.

I drew on Inaya's personality as a cheerful and optimistic person, her personal style and recurring motifs in her artwork to develop the visual language for the animated portions of the film. ​The character art was done by Inaya herself.
